2025 Enrolment Applications

The PNBHS 2025 Year 9 Enrolment Period has now closed. A ballot was held on Thursday, 29 August 2024 for all out of zone applications and all families concerned have been notified of the ballot outcome.  We are unable to accept any late 2025 Year 9 out of zone applications.

PLEASE NOTE:
Sports Development Programme information and the application form will be sent after the 2025 Year 9 enrolments have been confirmed.
All accepted students will be able to apply for the Sports Development Programme.

Important Dates for Year 9 2025 Enrolments

Monday 22 July 2024
Online Applications for Year 9 2024 Enrolments will be available on our website from 8:00am Monday, 22 July 2024.

Thursday 1 August 2024
OPEN DAY
Day Session – 9:45am
Evening Sessions – 5:30pm and 7:00pm
Meet at the Speirs Centre at the times stated above and are each session is followed by an optional student-led tour of the school.
College House Hostel Tour Times – 11.30am and 4.30pm.

2025 Enrolment applications close at 4:00pm

Monday 2 September 2024
Acceptance letters emailed after ballot has taken place

Tuesday 10 September 2024
Final date for parents to accept or decline an offer of enrolment.

Tuesday 15 – Thursday 17 October, 2024
Entrance Testing at PNBHS for students entering Year 9.
The dates for these will be advised if your son is accepted.

Thursday 17 October 2024
Orientation Evening.
A meeting will be held in the Main Hall at 7:00pm for 2025 Year 9 students and their parents. It is essential for all to attend this meeting where a general introduction will be given to the school and its approach to education. There will also be an opportunity for parents to discuss any concerns with staff.

Year 10-13 Enrolments

Enrolment for Year 10-13 students is subject to a face-to-face interview with the Rector. Please contact the School Main Office on (06) 354 5176 or to make an appointment.

Enrolment Scheme
As part of the requirements in operating our enrolment scheme we are obliged to indicate the likely number of places available at each year level for out of zone students.
This can be a difficult number to determine as it is affected by both in zone applications and by the number of current students who return for tuition the following year.
Please be aware that based on the above-mentioned factors actual out of zone places may differ from the number advertised.
We have listed below how many out of zone places we think we are likely to have for 2025. Applications for the places listed below close on Wednesday, 4 December 2024.

Year 10 – likely out of zone places = 0
Year 11 – likely out of zone places = 2
Year 12 – likely out of zone places = 0
Year 13 – likely out of zone places = 3
